Hello and welcome to my blog!

 

At 20 years old, I have just completed a 12-month gap year, travelling through 22 countries and four continents solo!

 

After completing two years of undergrad at the University of Miami, I decided I wanted to take a year to learn from the world itself, to immerse myself in other cultures, languages, and skills. I am beyond grateful for all the eye-opening experiences I was able to have, and all of the people and places who made my journey so wonderful.

 

I will now be continuing my educational journey at Hawaii Pacific University for my remaining two years studying Arts and Markets! I plan to continue travelling as much as possible, and will carry the lessons and stories with me every day.

During my gap year, I was fortunate to acquire several new skills and practices, and I am proud to continue sharing them with the world! Here are a few of my highlighted certificates and experiences:  

Yoga Teacher

200-hour Hatha & Vinyasa certified yoga teacher by Akasha Yoga School in Barranquilla, Colombia!

Hatha yoga focuses on aligning the body and calming the mind through slower-paced postures, breathwork (pranayama), and gentle meditation, creating a balanced and grounding practice. Vinyasa yoga emphasizes flowing movement synchronized with breath, often more dynamic, cultivating strength, focus, and a meditative state through continuous motion. 

Reiki 1 

Certified in Reiki Level One by Katherine Bird at Holistic Cottage in San Marcos, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala!

Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy, and heals by "flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy." It allows negative energy to break apart and fall away, 'straightening and healing energy pathways and allowing life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.'

Swedish Massage

Certified in Swedish Massage by Katherine Bird at Holistic Cottage in San Marcos, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala!

Swedish massage is a gentle, full-body therapy that uses long, flowing strokes and soothing pressure to relax muscles, improve circulation, and calm the nervous system. The rhythmic movements help release tension and send positive, healing energy toward the heart space, encouraging emotional balance and deep relaxation.
